1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to all versions of the "Focus Timer - Novaro Pomodoro" application (hereinafter referred to as "the App"), including but not limited to:

• iOS version (App Store)
• Android version (Google Play)
• WeChat Mini Program version
• H5 web version

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Locally Stored Data

The App stores the following data only on your device locally and does not upload it to any server:

• Task Data: Task names, categories, estimated pomodoros you create
• Pomodoro Records: Completion time, duration, associated tasks and other statistical information
• App Settings: Work duration, break duration, notification sounds, vibration and other personalized settings
• Achievement Data: Achievement records you unlock
• Subscription Status: Pro membership subscription information (used only for feature unlock verification)
• Anonymous Device ID: A randomly generated identifier stored only on your device, used solely for activation code verification and optional diagnostic log export. It is never linked to your personal identity and never uploaded automatically.

2.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

The App does NOT collect any of the following information:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Location information
• Contacts or address book
• Photos, videos or other media files
• Hardware identifiers (IMEI, MAC address)
• Browsing history or search records

2.3 Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, which may collect anonymous statistical data:

• Google AdMob (Android free version only): Used to display ads. Google may collect advertising identifier (GAID), IP address, device information (model, OS version), app usage data, and diagnostic data for ad delivery and measurement. See Google Privacy Policy
• In-App Purchase (IAP): Payments are processed through Google Play or App Store, we cannot access your payment information

3. How We Use Data

Your data is used only on your device for:

• Displaying your task list and pomodoro records
• Generating statistical charts and heatmaps
• Saving your app settings and preferences
• Unlocking achievements and tracking progress

4. Data Storage and Security

• Storage Location: All data is stored in your device's local storage (LocalStorage / AsyncStorage)
• Data Control: You have full control over your data and can export or clear it anytime through "Mine → Data Management"
• Data Transfer: We do not transfer your data to any remote servers
• Security Measures: Data is only on your device and protected by your device's system security mechanisms

5. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with any third parties.

The only exceptions are:

• When you actively use the "Share" feature to generate images to share with other apps
• When you actively use the "Export Data" feature to export data as a file
• When you actively use the "Export Logs" feature to send a diagnostic report — the report includes device model, OS version, app version, and an anonymous device ID, and is sent to pomodorotimer2026@163.com via your email client. This action is entirely optional and only triggered by you.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights:

• Right to Access: View all your data anytime (in "Stats" and "Mine" pages)
• Right to Export: Export all data as JSON file (Mine → Export Data)
• Right to Delete: Delete individual records or clear all data (Mine → Clear Data)
• Right to Opt-Out: Refuse ad tracking (disable ad tracking in device system settings)

7. Data Deletion Request

To delete your data, follow the steps below:

Step 1 — Delete data within the App (recommended)

• Open the App → tap Mine → tap Data Management → tap Clear All Data
• This permanently removes all locally stored task records, pomodoro history, settings, and subscription status
• Alternatively, uninstalling the App will also permanently delete all local data

Step 2 — Request deletion of diagnostic log data (if applicable)

If you have previously used the "Export Logs" feature to send a diagnostic report to us via email, that report may contain your device model, OS version, app version, and an anonymous device ID. To request deletion of this data:

• Email us at pomodorotimer2026@163.com with the subject line: Data Deletion Request
• We will permanently delete any diagnostic data associated with your device within 7 business days

Data types and retention

• Local app data (tasks, records, settings): deleted immediately when you clear data or uninstall the App — no server copy exists
• Diagnostic log emails (sent voluntarily via Export Logs): retained in our mailbox until you request deletion; deleted within 7 business days of your request
• Ad identifiers (GAID / IDFA, managed by Google / Apple): opt out via your device settings; we have no direct access to delete these

8. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for users of all ages. We do not actively collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data is stored locally only, parents have full control over their children's data access.

9. Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions:

• Notification Permission: To send reminder notifications when pomodoro completes
• Vibration Permission: For vibration feedback when timer completes
• Advertising ID Permission (Android): Required by Google AdMob to serve ads (free version only). You can opt out in device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of personalized ads

We will NOT request: Camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, or storage permissions.

10. Data Retention

• Data will remain on your device until you:
  • Manually delete the data
  • Uninstall the app
  • Clear app data
• After uninstalling the app, all data will be permanently deleted
• We recommend regularly using "Export Data" to back up important data

11. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The App does not use cookies or any tracking technologies to track your behavior.

Third-party advertising services (AdMob) may use advertising identifiers. You can opt out in device settings:

• iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking → Turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of personalized ads

App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, the App will ask for your permission before accessing the advertising identifier (IDFA) via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. This is used by AdMob to serve personalized ads in the free version. If you decline, ads may be shown but will not be personalized. Upgrading to Pro removes all ads.

12. International Data Transfer

Since all data is stored only on your device locally, no cross-border data transfer is involved.

13. Privacy Policy Updates

• We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time
• For major changes, we will notify you within the app
• Continued use of the App indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy
• You can always view the latest Privacy Policy in "Mine → About"

14. Legal Basis (GDPR Compliance)

Our legal basis for processing data:

• Contract Performance: Necessary to provide core app functionality
• Consent: To display ads (you can upgrade to Pro version to remove ads)

15. California Privacy Rights (CCPA Compliance)

If you are a California resident, you have:

• Right to Know: What information we collect (Section 2 of this policy)
• Right to Delete: Delete your personal information (via "Clear Data" feature)
• Right to Opt-Out: Refuse sale of personal information (we do not sell any personal information)
